West
Lincoln Public Library Board Meetings
The West Lincoln
Library Board Meets on the first Thursday of every month with
the exception of July and August. Other special board meetings
may be held at the call of the chair.
Children's
Story Time
Story
Time is geared to the interests of children from the ages of two
to five. We sing songs, do finger plays, learn poems and complete
an age appropriate craft. We hold five sessions of this program
at the following times.
Tuesday:
10:30am
Wednesday: 10:30am
Thursday: 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm
To
help us prepare for the correct number of children, please register
at the circulation desk. We ask for a $2.00 donation for the 12-week
session.
Summer
Reading Program
Summer
Reading Program begins first week in July. The participants are
encouraged to read a number of books for which they recieve prizes.
Last year the program's theme was "Super Hero's" and
next year it will be "Lost Worlds". The summer reading
program is sponsored by the Toronto Dominion Bank. Contact the

Computer
Instruction
Currently
computer instruction is offered on a one to one individual basis
topics include basic software and basic internet instruction.

Author's
Night
A
series of authors nights are held during the spring and fall.
Come out to meet the author and hear him/her read and discuss
their literary works. Admission is free to all. The evening includes
refreshments and door prizes. Author's Night is presented by the
Friend's of the West Lincoln Public Library. Proceeds from the
evening are in support of the West Lincoln Public Libraries.
Silent
Auction
A
Silent Auction is running at the Caistorville, Wellandport, &
Smithville Libraries - different auction items every month.
The
support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation in purchasing childrens
materials and books and support of the Government of Canada through
Industry Canada is gratefully acknowledged, and appreciated.
